Taco Hidde Bakker
Taco Hidde Bakker (*Heerde, The Netherlands 1978) graduated from the MA Photographic Studies, Leiden University in 2007.
Spring 2008 saw him flying to Alaska to do research for a website, exhibition, photobook and educational project The Last Days of Shishmaref on the disappearing village of Shishmaref. A co-production of Miroir film, Paradox (http://www.paradox.nl), broadcaster LLiNK and the community of Shishmaref. See http://www.shishmaref.nl
In 2009 preparing several projects, among them the editing of a booklet for young photographer’s collective Fw:, a journalistic exploration of the destruction of Grozny, and in collaboration with the Dutch National Museum of Ethnology, a visual repatriation program involving Dutch photocollections on Greenland from the early 1930s-1980s.
